Writing Buddies in the City

Penny Legg, Writing Buddies' leader, writes local and military history. Today she found herself as guest speaker at the Women's Institute. She says, 'Writing about the paranormal takes me to meet lovely people. Today it was my privilege to join the ladies of the Shirley (Southampton) branch of the Women's Institute to talk about ghosts and things that go bump in the night. I had not spoken at a WI meeting before. I found it amazing (and exhausting!) just listening to all the things they get up to, fundraising for several good causes and generally enjoying life. I came along and talked about ghosts, which was appropriate for the time of year but slightly different to their usual talks! They kindly listened and some bought my books and tickets for Humps, Bumps and Oral Entertainment, an evening of ghost stories and mediumship with Medium Andy Ford, on 27 November.
